Why We Love the Coke Zero Sugar 400
There’s nothing quite like Daytona International Speedway under the lights. The Coke Zero Sugar 400 is the only restrictor-plate night race on the NASCAR schedule, and it never disappoints. Watching the NASCAR Cup Series cars thunder around this 2.5-mile tri-oval at nearly 200 mph — with sparks flying against the Florida sky — is an experience every race fan should have at least once.
This track is pure history. From the very first Daytona 500 to today’s playoff-deciding races, Daytona has delivered countless legendary finishes. The surface was completely repaved in 2010, and it’s now smoother and faster than ever, making for pack racing that keeps fans on edge all night long.
Comfort, Convenience & Easy Travel
Our Daytona NASCAR Ticket Package includes everything you need for a seamless race weekend. We stay on the Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando North, which allows easy access to both Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Sanford International Airport (SFB). Many guests prefer Sanford — it’s smaller, less crowded, and easier to navigate.
On race day, our luxury RaceAway motorcoach takes you directly to Daytona International Speedway in about 40 minutes, even with race traffic. The ride is comfortable, air-conditioned, and a great time to meet fellow race fans.
Once at the track, our buses park near our seating section on the front stretch, close to the start/finish line. The grounds are flat and easy to walk, and it’s typically less than a 10-minute walk from the coach to your seats — a huge advantage compared to most major speedways.
Expect warm Florida weather in August, with highs in the 90s and lows in the 70s. Stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and enjoy those famous Daytona summer sunsets before the engines roar to life.
The Daytona Experience
Daytona International Speedway is known as “The World Center of Racing” for a reason. It hosts the Daytona 500 each February, and in August, it comes alive again for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 — a high-speed, high-stakes showdown that often helps shape the playoff field.
Fans can upgrade their weekend with Fan Zone passes, which provide exclusive pre-race access:
- Walk across the track’s grassy tri-oval and onto pit road
- Watch pre-race driver introductions and concerts
- Visit the garage area and Goodyear Legends of Daytona exhibit
- See car inspections and team preparations up close

Reviews
My husband and our son just returned from their first NASCAR race weekend at Daytona. They had a totally marvelous time! They found the accommodations at the Embassy Suites excellent, the seats provided a great view, the coach service was so easy but most of all, my husband was impressed with the attentiveness of the staff. This race experience was just what I wanted them to have! Thanks so much for everything and especially the knowledge that I gave my husband and son the best Christmas gift ever!
