Lowe's Motor Speedway, located in the heart of NASCAR country, Concord, North Carolina, just outside of Charlotte, is built on the site of a Civil War-era working plantation. This 1.5-mile oval race track, recently dubbed "The Beast of the Southeast," seats 167,000 NASCAR fans for two exciting race weekends each year.

In May, The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coca-Cola 600, the longest race of the NASCAR season, starts during the late afternoon and finishes under the lights. In October, The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series NASCAR Banking 500 runs in the middle of The Chase for the Sprint Cup, and the Nationwide Series Dollar General 300 entertains NASCAR fans from all over the country.
